Now I work as a Handyman. My passion is working with my hands and I take pride in my work. I live for the thrill of finding the solution to a problem and developing a course of action to implement it.
On this channel you will find a plethora of videos on a wide range of subjects such as how-to's, advice, product reviews, teardowns, tutorials, and so much more!

Exactly same thing happened to me yesterday, it broke at the exact same place, Dewalt will have to relook at the engineering design of this casing. Thanks for your video it will help me fixing mine.
A problem I’m having with mine is that when you crank it, it just spins even though both springs are connected. It’s the gear that keeps on sliding and I need answers on how to fix it, it has a line going through the back and I’m wondering if that has a meaning to it. If anyone has any answers please tell me.
Same exact thing happened to me. Still works perfectly fine. I've had it for 4 years and take pretty good care of it, so I was pretty bummed, but glad to see replacing the casing isn't too bad
Here's the listing for he battery: the link is over. Have you got a new one ? please.
very good video, great explanation of the power supply.
Thanks man for all the explanation...❤
My son bought one a couple of years ago for me brand new tried charging never would and took to a friend computer store, said they sold him a defective one so still sitting in box brand new
I liked the video because it was helpful. But man there was to much talking… geesh! lol
When this was made, short form content was just becoming a thing. My prior videos were much longer. I had stopped making videos for a while, and made this to get back into it, and quickly realized it wasn't worth it. Now that everyone's used to short videos, we all have very short attention spans, myself included. I used gently remind people that the fast forward button exists for a reason. In hindsight, this could have been a very short video. Thanks for your feedback.
hello master.... i have one SRV-2000 i bought it in Reverb 1 year ago, i received it and test it, and everything looked good.... but yesterday i turned it again and it on but the display doesn't work, any led.... what could it be? Thanks
If the unit still powers up, it could be as simple as a loose connection. It could also be a bad display. But if the unit does not power up, it will most likely be a bad power supply. I still offer repair services if you're interested.
@@pileggitech thanks for you answer, i live in Mexico. Its the problem. The unit power up. And but it doesn’t charge the FX it only work as bypass and the led of baypass and dB signal work as well. But the display doesn’t as the other buttons too..
Thank you for the inspo! I did allmost the same with mine. Just dusted a bit and then it worked fine again :) It was totally worth it to give it a try! Usually I would have dumbed it in the trash... Never thought about such an easy solution! So cool!
My job was making phonographs, my name is Guido Claerhout, I live in Belgium? I am an expert in repairing those machines?
Exelente video, me gusta el detalle de ponerle también sus pegatinas originales eso esta muy bien.. nuen trabajo
I have model VV-XIV I believe circa 1902...do you know much about it..? I've removed all screws and the turntable won't budge when trying to lift it up...
Unfortunately I am unable to help you with this as I have very little knowledge of these units.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🙏🙏🙌🙌🙌👍👍👍the best sistem solar my brother 😂😂!!
Also how would I install the load resistor in the power supply itself?
Hey, did you use a resistor for either of the LEDs?
I used that same B3603 buck converter to make a portable power supply. I mounted it in an enclosure that I made by stacking 2 Altoids tins, and I power it with a 19V laptop charger/adapter brick. I also included a step-up converter, for those few occasions when I need more than 18 Volts. The step-up converter is set to double the input voltage but is not permanently in-circuit; it's on it's own switch, because when used, it raises the voltage but lowers the available amperage... But it's a handy addition if you need 24 Volts and your adapter is only giving you 18.
I had mine fall from a 12 ft ladder and broke the same way, about to order me a new housing, thanks!
Three years later and the replacement case has held up. I'd still repair it if needed.
still have them for sale?
No, they weren't cost effective enough. It's more of a novelty / fun DIY project to do than a profitable item to sell.

Thanks from England for a good video because it's a bit hard to watch all these videos where everyone thinks they're a TV personality. So cheers mate.
Not with one of those but with the contemporary Fluke model I accidentally did a lamp test on a PL type fluorescent and either shocked myself through my hand by contact with the probe or with a pin of the lamp. It hurt like a MFer and I could even smell burning flesh, but I had no mark or ill effects. 0/10 recommend lamp testing yourself.
From all of the years of getting bit or zapped, I thought I'd learn by now. The mini tesla coil I built really zings you good!
I wonder why they say not to use distilled water. The residue of regular water use might cause problems
Tap water has natural minerals in it, which help diffuse water into vapor better than distilled water can. But you're not wrong for thinking that distilled water would be cleaner.
I was looking for a wide angle lens for my camera. Do you have any suggestions?
I've only ever had experience with the Precision Design lenses used in this video. They worked well for their intended purposes however I didn't use them that much.
That was actually a really useful explanation. I am so happy I came across your video. Thank you dude. I am learning so much from ya. Keep producing content like this, it helps the world.
Thank you for your comment! Sadly, I stopped producing content on a full time basis a few years ago after feeling "burned out". I have been contemplating a return though and your positive vibes help with that endeavor.
Cool video set. I just bought a 1915 VV-X for 125 bucks. And it needed some light adjustments simple cabinet clean up. Looks excellent. And because I thought it was a bargain, I splurged a 100 bucks and replaced the original Victrola No 2 reproducer with a much better condition Exhibition reproducer with fresh needles and this unit sounds excellent. These videos are archived in case I need them, but right now I don't. Just a note. The best way to get bet sound and best life of the records is simple. Regularly replace this needles with fresh new ones. It's worth it to replace them and really don't keep the old ones around. They are no good after a few plays. Some say after each play. The needles come in small, medium, and large and the key differences are many including sound volume. But also newer 78's may have narrower grooves. I mostly use the medium sized and it works well on most shellacs. But if it does not sound good, changing the needle size may help.
Thank you for your comment and advice!
Thanks for the video! Just had a diffuser go out, completely different brand, worked last night but found it leaking this morning. Didn't work. It was soaked inside. Cleaned it up, iso and a brush, works like before. Thanks again!
So very glad to hear this worked for you!
What is that screwdriver set you added I love it because of all the different colors which one is it?
I believe the screwdriver set in question is no longer in production, but was replaced with this: www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Marlin-Screwdriver-Set--15-Precision-Screwdrivers/IF145-462?o=1 The one in the video was included with the Business Toolkit. Referencing the new kit reveals the above set, which sadly is no longer color-coded.
do you have any sample vids with the wide angle lens? thanks!!
too much unnecessary talk. Just go directly to the instructions
You are welcome to skip ahead anytime you like. Some people actually like content creators to banter. This isn't a highly edited how-to video.
Do you guys sell the transformer? I need to swap out the transformer as it has a little high pitch hum ( not very loud but it’s there)
Mine snapped the same spot!
ah thanks for explanation on why you were cutting the leads before soldering. i have yet to see anyone do that.
great set of videos! thorough and clean work. my family has actually 2 sets of these Victor Victorlas, one from my paternal Grandmother and another from my maternal side. My mom actually used to play me records to sleep in the 80's/90's! They are such beautiful pieces of craftmanship, both the woodwork and the mechanical designs. I'm actually in possession of the older one from my Paternal Grandmother, I believe it is the same model as these videos! I'm currently looking at trying to examine what is wrong and potentially fix it. It cranks and holds the energy built up. However my particular issue is that when the brake is release and the needle is placed upon the record, it rapidly slows down and stops spinning. When the needle is lifted, the record resumes spinning. How much did the rebuild in this video series cost the owner?
Thank you! This video really helps!
😇 ƤRO𝓂O𝕤ᗰ
Easier to just let em know what's correct. Bahahahahaha
Wtf….
Wow
Lmaooo poor guy. Good thing you are there.
This is so funny. Is that sunscreen too btw?
I brought it once for service works fine for a bit now starting with issues again . Cycles don’t last more the 5 minutes and turn off. Now won’t start on again. No nothing. I’m pretty sure there is a way to reset it
"One of the bits this comes with, which is kinda neat are the bits for opening game cartridges and systems like the Nintendo 64, which I happened to have in the other room. So you know, the minute got this in my hand,I went out and grabbed that and opened it, just to see what's inside..." Never have I related so much to a statement. From taking apart watches and putting them back together as a little kid (my dad showed me how, and to never, EVER strip a screw or bolt, lol ) I always want to see what's inside. How it works. Subscribed. Great video, thanks.
Thank you for your awesome comment. I'm happy to hear that there are other people who share the same passion as me.
Ciao il mio display non è luminoso come tempo fa c’è un modo come regolare l’illuminazione?
Where can I buy this?
How do you do? The video on making a power supply was very helpful. I also like the fact that you explain the information very well . I have a question. I have a Liteon model no : PS-5221-9 and it came with two brown wires. What do I do with the second wire brown wire ? All the other wires that you show are the same except the extra brown . I just subscribed to your channel and going to check out the videos you have . Hopefully you have time to reply . I’m not sure how that happens . This is the first time I comment or ask a question on RUclips. Thanks for time , again liked your video.
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you found my videos helpful. I'm not familiar with the power supply in question, however, after looking at a few pictures of the same unit on eBay, I'd say the brown cables were used as the +12V connector for the CPU. There would have been two brown and two black together in a 4-way Molex plug. That makes the most sense as there were only three other connectors; two SATA Power and one Motherboard 20+4 Pin Molex. Thou shalt always check voltages - connect a volt meter between brown and black and see if you get around +12V. Hope this helps.

another great video. a couple questions. do you get the resisters from the computer case? did you end up doing a video where you combine two power supplies? ty
